A Venetian Dream

From the moment you step out of the Santa Lucia Train Station, a strong feeling overpowers you as if you had traveled back in time and clocked figures in Pantalone’s mask should appear any minute.

The key to unlock the magic of Venice is to let go of control, wonder the labyrinth of its canals and inevitably get lost. For when you lose yourself, you are easily guided by the Divine Providence to exactly what you need.

A few days on the Laguna will fill you with all the inspiration one heart can bare and, leaving behind the dark silhouette of the city against a golden-pink sunset, all the melancholy of place you never really belonged to, but that became truly yours nevertheless.

The quality of mercy is not strain’d,
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath: it is twice blest;
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes – The Mearchant of Venice by W. Shakespear
